History of the Jay Lee Inn

This Victorian Federal home was built in 1902 by William and Carolyn Krueger.  It sits along the original historic path of the Elkhart Lake race track.  The property has always been used as a boarding house, inn, or additional guest rooms for the resorts and hotels in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.  The home has been renovated to reveal its original charm , therefore, the new owners thought it appropriate to re-name the home "Jay Lee Inn", a name the home was given by Jacob and Leitha Stein, when it was affiliated with Pine Point Resort.

The Innkeepers

Grand Opening December 2007

Leo and Monica Lettow purchased the property in December of 2006.  Throughout 2007 they spent many long hours restoring the property.  Much of the restoration and all of the decoration was done by Monica and Leo,  with a "little" help from their family and friends.  In December of 2007, they opened the Jay Lee Inn Bed and Breakfast.  Monica and Leo have been married for 28 years.  Prior to opening the Bed and Breakfast, they lived on a farm near Random lake Wisconsin, where they raised three children together.  Leo and Monica love to travel, entertain, and get involved in local activities.
